Our Journey
Yew Kwang Photography was founded in 2002 with a passion for capturing life’s meaningful moments. Beginning as a full-service photography studio, we photographed weddings, family portraits, studio sessions and events, developing a strong foundation in lighting, composition and storytelling.
As our experience grew, so did the opportunities to work with businesses and organisations. Increasingly, companies approached us for executive portraits, corporate events, architectural photography and commercial projects. Over time, our passion naturally evolved towards helping businesses communicate their people, culture and spaces through compelling visual imagery.
Today, our focus is entirely on corporate photography. We work closely with companies of all sizes, from local businesses to multinational organisations, producing photographs that support marketing campaigns, annual reports, corporate communications, recruitment, branding and editorial publications.

Meet Yew Kwang
Photography wasn’t my first career.
Before becoming a professional photographer, I spent seven years working as an engineer. While engineering taught me precision, discipline and problem-solving, I found myself searching for work that allowed me to connect with people and make a different kind of impact.
That opportunity came through volunteering, where I joined a basic photography course to document community events for a newsletter. What began as a way to contribute soon became a lifelong passion. I immersed myself in every aspect of photography—from mastering camera techniques to developing film and producing darkroom prints.
More than two decades later, my passion remains just as strong.
One of the things I enjoy most about photography is that every assignment introduces me to new people, industries and environments. Whether I’m photographing an executive team, documenting a manufacturing facility or capturing the design details of a beautifully crafted interior, I enjoy learning about my clients’ businesses and understanding what makes each project unique.
My engineering background continues to influence the way I work today. I approach every assignment with careful planning, attention to detail and a structured workflow, while creating a relaxed and enjoyable experience that allows people to feel comfortable in front of the camera.
