I am so glad to have the opportunity to capture the beautiful wedding of Yean Hung and Rolando. The bride Yean Hung is a Singaporean and the groom Rolando is a Filipino. Both of them are currently working in Washington and they flew back less than a week before their wedding ceremony. The wedding ceremony was held at Raffles Hotel with about 50 guests in total. Since the ceremony is going to be carried at lawn area outdoor, I was a little worried when it started raining in the morning but the weather was almost perfect in the afternoon. I arrive about 2pm to capture the makeup of the bride and the room of Raffles Hotel has always been one of my favorite location. It has high ceiling with natural light from the corridor coming through the window, high ceiling fan, cute little doorbell and many mirrors around! The corridor has a row of garden tables and chairs which make it a nice spot for couple shot.
The wedding ceremony was slightly different from those I have done before. The couple did not see each other on the day before the ceremony starts. They have the groom walking down the aisle with his parents, followed by two little boys and finally, the bride march in together with her parents while the groom watch (by the way, that was the first time he saw the wedding gown). Upon reaching the groom, the parents lifted the veil of the bride and the Dad give her daughter a kiss on the cheek. Everyone laughs when he told the groom he kiss the bride before the groom! The ceremony was conducted by the father of the groom and the couple were very relax and smiling most of the time when they recite the vow and exchange the rings.
This was followed by the traditional tea ceremony for the parents and relatives before we proceed to take group photos for all the guests.
